Soccer Academy


Bretton Woods partners with the Bruce Murray Soccer Academy (BMSA) to offer a skills camp for soccer players ages 6-17.  The camp gives those with the passion for the game the opportunity to learn the latest drills and principles from US Soccer. Camp fees include chef inspired meals, snacks and the amenities of Bretton Woods Country Club. Summer Campers enjoy a mid-day break at Bretton Wood’s World Class Pool.
In addition, BMSA offers fall and spring clinics for youth age 6-17 that focus on focus will be shooting, dribbling and passing.

Bruce Murray Soccer Academy

The Bruce Murray Soccer Academy is run by US soccer legend Bruce Murray.  Bruce Edward Murray (born January 25, 1966 in Germantown, Maryland) is a retired American soccer forward, who at the time of his retirement was the all-time leading scorer for the U.S. National Team. His standout college career led to his selection by Soccer America Magazine to its College Team of the Century. He then played professionally in both Europe and the United States, including the American Soccer League and American Professional Soccer League. Before injuries forced him to retire in 1995, Murray had earned 86 caps, scoring 21 goals, including one at the 1990 FIFA World Cup. He was also a member of the U.S. national futsal team which placed third at the 1989 FIFA Futsal World Championship. He currently coaches at McLean Youth  Soccer Club, in McLean, VA. He is a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame. In addition to his playing career Bruce served as an assistant coach at Harvard University and currently holds a USSF A license.
